Fall 2007 Instructors Alana Grunspan, Ballet Program Director Alana has extensive experience teaching Pre-Ballet, Intermediate to Advanced Ballet, Tap & Jazz. She also has experience in choreography and practices development techniques in her curriculum. Alana works with all age groups and has completed her certification with Dance Masters of America for classes in Ballet and Jazz. She has taught at local dance studios for the past 3 years and began her teaching experience in her home town of Rochester, New York. Alana has also performed in the San Antonio Ballet Opera and has been accepted to perform with several professional performing arts companies. Mallory Miller, Dance Team Instructor Mallory has 14 years of dance experience. She is attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mallory is a former Dance Team Member at Churchill High School and has been the Lead Dance Team Director and choreographer for the Cynergy Dance Team since the Spring of 2005. Mallory teaches Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz and the Precision Leaps and Turns class which prepares students for high school dance team tryouts and performances. Mallory is the lead instructor for Cynergy's Advanced Dance Teams. Her exceptional choreography, experience and hard work resulted in leading the 2005-2006 Cynergy Dance Team with two 1st Place Gold Awards and a judges 1st place overall in the Showstopper's Regional Dance Team Competition and two 1st Place Gold and a special judges award for "Sassiest Style" in the 2006 and 1st Place Golds in the 2007 Starbound Regional Dance Talent Competitions. ~Samara~, Beginning Egyptian Belly Dance Instructor Samara is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has taught Egyptian Belly Dance instruction for the last couple of years. She has performed at various events to include the Holland Area Arts Council fund raising event and the Mezze Cafe in Grand Rapids. Samara has ballet, jazz, gymnastics and cheerleading training. She is also a graduate of Western Michigan University. Avery Kotzur, Dance Instructor Avery is a Senior at Reagan High School. She is a Lt. Col. for the Reagan Diamond Dancers and has ten years of dance experience. Avery is an amazingly talented dancer and is teaching Lyrical Modern, Jazz, Creative Dance, Ballet-Tap. She is also the Jr. Cynergy Dance Team Instructor. Rosa Mall, Flamenco & Folkloric Instructor Rosa begin her study of "Folkloric" dance at the National School of Dance in Mexico City. She has 38 years of teaching experience in the private sector as well as working with School Districts. She publishes a community newspaper titled, "Folkloric", which is based on the Arts. Aside from teaching, Rosa focuses on multi-media presentations and radio programming. She is also an a costume designer and independent business owner. Rosa Mall is also a retired NCO wife and stays active in the military community. Kimberly Martin, Marketing & Special Events Program Manager Kimberly has been involved with Cynergy Dance Company for the past two years. Her love of dance is fulfilled by assisting the studio with her creative and artistic talents. She is also currently the Program Manager for the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas where she assists with a vast number of special events & seminars. |

| Owner & Program Director Cynthia Plumas founded Cynergy Dance Company in July 2003. At the early age of five, she began ballet, tap, jazz and baton twirling class in her home town of Port Lavaca, Texas. Through the years, Cynthia continued to develop her dance experience and passion for performing in numerous school and city wide events. Cynthia also led her high school dance/drill team as Captain for two years. Her dance talent also became an asset in many childhood pageants, talent shows and dance competitions. While attending college at Southwest Texas State University, Cynthia joined the honorable Strutter Drill Team organization. She graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. For the past four years, Cynthia has challenged her talents and charisma with a dual career as a banking professional and small business owner. Her goal is to continue to build her business and her dance education by providing a versatile and unequivocal dance program suitable for students of all ages in order to help them reach their individual goals, gain self-confidence and provide them with an enjoyable and energetic dance experience. Cynthia enjoys reaching out to the community in any way possible. Cynthia has volunteered in several community events and is a supporter of the San Antonio United Way Program. Cynthia has been a pageant mentor and was also selected to judge the Miss San Antonio Teen Pageants in 2004 and 2006 and the 2007 San Antonio Jam Fest Dance competition. She is currently the Choreographer for Special Events and teaches Adult Jazz and Salsa classes. |
